A question that has been asked and answered every few minutes since affiliate marketing came on the scene is whether or not you need to have your own product to become a good affiliate marketer. The reason it is asked so much is that there is a different response for everyone. There are those who claim that you simply MUST have your own brand to get started and excel in affiliate marketing, and then there are those who say that when you begin or ever succeed, you don't need a product. What is it, then? Huh? Yes? Huh? No?
The truth of the matter is that everybody is right. It's excellent to have your own product, but it's not entirely important. Many that have their own product will create and add affiliate links to a website around that product. Those that don't have their own goods can still build and be an affiliate marketer with a great website. Goods producers enjoy affiliate marketers and goods are not the least bit difficult to find.
The thing that both those who do and those that do not have a product of their own have in common is that they both have to be passionate about the goods they sell. You're never going to succeed in selling something that you are not interested in. To succeed in any undertaking requires motivation and determination, and affiliate marketing is no different. In order to keep your drive and ambition alive and well for the long haul, you must be enthusiastic about a product or an idea.
Your success directly relates to how successful your marketing strategies are, how focused you are, how well you handle your time, and how much you believe in the product, whether you are marketing your own product or a product created by others.
